Hollow Form Workshop

Hollow construction is a method of metal fabrication that allows for dimensional and lightweight forms at scales otherwise too difficult or heavy fabricate. In this weekend workshop, students will learn how to create structure with sheet metal by making a hollow construction ring. By integrating techniques like piercing, texture, scoring and bending, and forming, students will understand how sheet metal moves while strengthening fabrication and soldering techniques, resulting in a unique, 3-D wearable object.  All supplies will be provided.
