Planning Matters Workshop
Based on the instructor’s book, “When I Need Your Help, I’ll Let You Know: And Other Senior Myths that Can Lead to Disaster,” this class will discuss the thinking seniors employ to avoid making proactive life planning decisions. We’ll cover caregiver tools including critically important (and often overlooked) Advanced Directives like health care, financial power of attorney, burial and living wills, in addition to the POLST form (Physician Orders for Life Sustaining Treatment). Students will be supplied Advanced Directive forms that may be completed, witnessed, signed and then notarized by the instructor in class. Each student will leave with a copy of the instructor’s book and four completed and fully effective legal documents. A $15 materials fee is due to the instructor in class.
