Writing Philosophy

Is this a writing class or a philosophy class? Yes to both! Good writing isn't all plot and character: much of it is arguing a point of view, and that means being clear, precise, and in the end, persuasive. Philosophers ask weird questions like, "Should we edit human DNA?”, “What is knowledge?”, and "Can machines think?" From these questions, we form and hone our arguments. We will be doing philosophy in class, but only as it relates to giving your writing skills a sharper cutting edge. See Textbook and Supply List for textbook information.
