Debra is an experienced home canner and avid collector of cast iron cooking utensils. Growing up in a small town in northeast Oregon, where her family grew a big garden, she's been involved in home canning for her entire life. Debra processes around 400-500 jars of food safe product each year. She has taken certification classes in home canning through “Preserving the Harvest” and hands on classes to become a Master Food Preserver. She has been teaching canning classes for the last 10 years and is excited to teach at North!
