Summer is a good time to take a class. Your schedule might be packed, but that’s exactly why a continuing education class works. Most meet once a week in the evening, on weekends, or during the day, great if you’re retired or have daytime flexibility. It’s a way to carve out time for something creative, professional, or just for yourself.
Our continuing education classes are non-credit and open to everyone. You can try something new, revisit an interest, or sharpen a skill. Some classes are online. Others are in person. You’ll get clear instruction and time to practice. Many classes offer clock hours or continuing education units (CEUs), which can count toward professional development requirements.
This summer’s lineup includes hands-on art classes like Abstract Watercolors, Charcoal Drawing, and Watercolors for Beginners. If you want to focus on landscapes, we offer both drawing and painting sessions. You’ll also find classes in figure drawing, sewing, jewelry design, creative writing, stained glass, and cake decorating.
Here’s what’s coming up this quarter.

Don’t miss the 11th Annual Student Art Show, running July 15 through August 14, 2025. It’s open to current and past continuing education art students. Entry forms and artwork photos are due by midnight on Friday, June 27. For more information including the full show schedule click [here].
