Write with Confidence: Learn from Award-Winning Instructor Christine Dubois
Continuing education classes give you a chance to build real skills you can use right away. If writing has been sitting in the back of your mind, this is your sign to start.
Christine Dubois brings serious experience into the classroom. She’s an award-winning writer and editor with more than 500 published articles across 45 magazines and newspapers. She has spent over 20 years as a freelance writer and has worked on everything from articles and websites to ad copy, resumes, and full-scale publicity campaigns.
But what really makes her stand out is how she teaches.
Christine keeps writing simple and approachable. You focus on the core skills that actually matter. How to organize your ideas. How to draft without overthinking. How to edit so your writing is clear and direct. Her philosophy is straightforward. If it’s not clear, it’s not communicating.
She also gets real about how writing has changed. Today, strong writing skills show up everywhere. Content creation, blogging, business communication, self-publishing. Her classes reflect that shift. You are not stuck learning outdated formats. You are learning how to write for how people read today.
Students keep coming back for a reason. Christine creates a space where people feel comfortable sharing their work. That’s where the growth happens. She loves seeing students gain confidence, get published, or use their writing to move forward in their careers.
She’s also deeply rooted in the writing community. She holds a Communications degree from the University of Washington, is a member of the National Writers Union, and received the Best Instructor Award from North Seattle College Continuing Education.
At the core of it all, she believes writing should sound like you. Not stiff. Not robotic. Personal writing connects.
Upcoming Class: Writing a Short Memoir
If you’ve ever thought about telling your story, this is a solid place to start.
In this continuing education class, you take your real-life experiences and shape them into a short memoir. You learn how to choose a moment, reflect on it, and turn it into something meaningful and readable.
The class walks you through the full process. From idea to draft to a piece you can share or publish.
