Sam Case

Instructor Sam Case

Sam is an artist working and living in beautiful Seattle, Washington (not a local, sorry, but has lived in the city for over 10 years). His background is in painting and drawing from Western Washington University where he received his BFA. His current work is moving into abstraction and installation as he finishes an MFA in Visual Studies at Pacific Northwest College of Arts in Portland this summer.

After having taught beginner painting classes for years, Sam’s teaching style is grounded in humor and experimentation. It’s his philosophy that most people have more talent than they realize, and that learning a new skill shouldn’t be intimidating. For examples of his work, please visit samueljaymscase.com.
