Risami Nakamura-Lambert

Risami Nakamura-Lambert has been teaching Japanese for over 20 years after graduating from The University of Hawaii.  She has worked at The University of Hawaii, The University of Washington, Japanese schools and other programs.

With her expertise in teaching Japanese, Risami has a unique technique that is based on the English speaker’s point of view.  At North Seattle College, she specializes in teaching conversational skills.  Risami understands the typical struggles of the language learning process and has clear solutions for them through her class activities. Students can also experience very interesting Japanese culture and customs throughout the course since Risami grew up in the Tokyo area and still has strong ties with Japan.
