Introduction to Birdwatching

Join the fastest growing sport - birdwatching! This class will introduce you to the art and joy of birdwatching. Learn identification skills, tools of birding (from field guides to smart phone applications) and an introduction to local birds. Two evening classes will be followed by a field trip to Discovery Park to practice birding skills.

  • This class takes place away from North Seattle College.
    We will introduce tools, apps and methods of learning birding by ear and then practice these skills during two field trips to diverse parks where theory becomes reality.
    This class includes a field trip on 4/4 from 8am to 12pm. Additional details will be discussed in class Students are responsible for their own transportation to and from the field trips.
