Bring the textures and colors of nature to life with watercolor and collage! Students will begin by creating a variety of painted papers while learning watercolor techniques, including how to create texture using everyday items. They will also explore color mixing and harmony as they experiment with marks, patterns, and surfaces. Once their papers are complete, students will cut, tear, and layer them to build vibrant collages on large sheets of watercolor paper. The final pieces will fall somewhere between abstract and realistic, inspired by natural forms such as landscapes, plants, and organic shapes. This playful class is designed for adults and encourages experimentation, creativity, and a touch of whimsy!
