Welcome! In this beginner class, we’ll learn the basics of using the wheel and hand-building while exploring how form, function, and surface design work together. Our goal is not just to make pots, but to learn how to create thoughtful, finished vessels. Throughout the class, we’ll pay attention to the entire form: From the rim to the body, handle, and foot. We will make intentional choices about shape, proportion, texture, and color. At the end of this class you’ll leave with a batch of pots beautifully crafted by You!
The first class is mandatory, as it covers essential studio safety procedures. Students who miss the first class will be dropped from the course and issued a 50% refund.
