Introduction to Theatre

This introductory “taster” appreciation course will provide an overview of the world of theatre. We will cover topics including script analysis, basic acting techniques, design elements, play production and production analysis. Enjoy a local theatre outing to see a modern theatrical rom-com Table 17 by Douglas Lyons at Union Arts Center. Whether you were a drama kid in school and want to get back in or have always wondered more about the art form this class is for everyone. This class will include a field trip to see a local Seattle are production the on either 10/31 or 11/1 (matinee performance).

  • There will be a field trip to the Union Arts Center (700 Union St, Sea WA) on either Oct 31 or Nov 1 from 2:00PM to 4:30PM. Tickets are not included and can range between $25 - $65. Students are responsible for their own transportation to and from the field trips. Additional details will be given by your instructor.
