Forest Bathing

Inspired by Shinrin-yoku, the Japanese practice of "Forest Bathing" supports health and wellness through immersion in natural environments. This experience will guide you through a sequence of invitations to slow down, and use your senses to interact with the natural world. Invitations are open-ended. There is no expectation for what participants should experience or receive, though often mentioned is a reduction in stress, as well as increased feelings of overall well-being, creativity, a sense of calm and stillness while also feeling more alive. This is not a hike or meditation, but best described as a slow meander. This experience is ideal for people who are comfortable traveling on uneven, unpaved terrain; though we can easily adapt for anyone with more limited mobility (fatigue, uneven gait, use of walker or cane).
