Pine Needle Basketry Workshop
Discover the art of pine needle basketry and connect with nature through this hands-on class. You'll learn to weave your own coil basket using pine needles while exploring Coast Salish basket traditions. Engage in guided visualizations, discuss pine needle collection, the difference between coil and warp/weft baskets and master essential techniques like split stitch, forming walls, and finishing touches. By the end, you'll walk away with a beautiful handmade basket and a deeper connection to nature. All supplies will be provided.
