Tataki Zome: Plant Portraits with a Hammer

Tataki Zome is a Japanese phrase for the method of creating prints by hammering botanicals onto paper. In this workshop you will learn this easy and fun botanical printing process and make a unique piece of botanical art for yourself or someone special using only flower blooms, leaves and a hammer! Each participant will leave the workshop with botanically printed pieces of paper ready to turn into greeting cards, bookmarks, wall art, etc. plus ideas for how to enhance their prints further with watercolors, pens or stitching. All levels welcome. No experience necessary.
