The zoom lecture was excellent in featuring a 1) historical perspective of the area as it affects the people and other fauna that lived and are living along the Duwamish 2) provided great photos and listing the types of birds inhabiting the area 3) kept the audience engaged with fun quizzes which prepared us well for the field trip. 4) provided slides of the presentation 5) listing of favorite birding hotspots. The field trip was where it all came together and got helpful birding tips about birding ie not pointing at birds, birds responses to types of sounds like voices and bird interactions between species ie which birds accompany each other which are predators and typical prey, life state of the birds ie breeding plumage, nesting, molting, eclipse plumage and juvenile bird plumage and bird food sources.
