This introductory course is designed to help you move beyond auto mode and begin using your camera with intention and creativity. Through a mix of guided practice activities, hands-on practice, and outside assignments, you’ll learn the fundamentals of camera operation: aperture, shutter speed, ISO, white balance, and exposure. You’ll also explore core concepts in composition, lighting, and visual storytelling. Students are required to have a DSLR or mirrorless camera with manual controls. A tripod is recommended but not required.  The class will have two Sunday morning field trips with the instructor on July 19th and August 2nd (details given in class).
